At present 54 women have been adopted as candidates at tho General Election, to be held in May or June, but it is" not unlikely that many more will como forward as prospective members of Parliament. In political circles it is anticipated that-the number will be nearly 100. The 54 women who have already been adopted as candidates aro in the following. party' strength:—Liberal, 19; Labour, 27; Conservative,'B.
