RECOVERY FROM ILLNESS
LONDON, 12th February.
Dame Melba bai been abed a fortnight seriously ill with bronchial influenza. The doctors feared pleurisy, would develop. Fortunately sho hag now taken a turn for the better, and hopes to be well enough a week hence to go to Italy in search of sunshine. She it planning to return to London for the opening of the opera season on 22nd April, with a new company to be known as the Now Covent Garden Opera Syndicate. Daino Melba has undertaken to suporvise the productions. . .
