ELIMINATING DANGEROUS ONE&
(By Telegraph.—Press Associatirvj.)
HAMILTON, This Day
The Minister of Railways (the Hon. W. B. Taverner), questioned to-day regarding the level crossing danger, said that his Department had the matter under review. Innumerable devices for lessening the danger had been ordered, but time was needed to test their efficiency.
Mr. 11. 11. Stirling (general manager) said that with the limited funds avail able it was difficult to embark oa any ambitious scheme for eliminating crossings. Wherever the local authorities co-oporated they bore a share of the expense. Prompt measures to abolish dangerous crossings were always taken. No application of this nature had been refused "by the Department.
