MAILEY'S SUGGESTION
TO¥R OF NEW ZEALAND FOR PRACTICE
Australian Press Association.
(Received 9th February, 2.15 p.m.)
SYDNEY, This Day.
A. A. Majlcy, writing in the "Daily Telegraph," says that the result of the match fully illustrates the value of playing against oversea teams. He contends that the Australian side has gradually developed strength because of its experience in the first two Tests. Australian players should have been given an opportunity of; playing against first-class overseas' teams during the last two seasons. Mailey further suggests that the team should tour New Zealand early next season, as such a tour would improve Australia's chances of regaining tho ashes in 1930, as New ZeaTand conditions aro similar to those of England.
