MAKING TOP SPEED
THE ELEANOR BOLLING

AUCKLAND, Bth February.
The latest report received by Mr. E. G. Brophy, second in command of the Byrd expedition, is that the supply sliip, Eleanor Boiling, is approaching the New Zealand coast at top speed.
"I have been in constant touch with the vessel," Mr. Brophy said, "and I have issued instruction's that every ounce of speed that can be got out of the ship must be obtained, so that she shall reach Dunedin on 14th February instead of tho following day.
"The Eleanor Boiling must bo away again 36 hours after her arrival. During that time the vessel will load 500 tons of! gear, including an aeroplane, a motor-car, 5000 gallons of benzine, and 4000 gallons of other oils. Every minute counts now;"'
Mr. Brophy will, leave Auckland tonight, or to-morrow, morning for Wellington and Dunedin.
