An extension of the fight in the timber workers', strike is feared. No reply has been received by the Federal Minister of Industry, Mr. Latham, to the appeal which he issued. ,• ..
Grave fears are held among trade union officials that their hopes of financing the struggle will not be realised. It is believed that the levy system will not operate successfully, increasing numbers of members of the allied unions being thrown out of employment. .
