On Monday evening, at 7.30, Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P., ex-Minister of Education, will preside at the opening of the 1929 season of the Wellington District Band of Hope Union. The gathering will be held in the Vivian Street Baptist Hall, and will take the form of a united rally of the Bands of Hope and Youth Temperance Societies in Wellington city and suburbs. There will be a special programme, assembly of banners, and special addresses to mark the launching of the 1929 Wellington campaign for the temperance education of youth.
