WELLINGTON TRAMWAYS BAND.
To-morrow'evening in His. Majesty's Thcatro tho Tramway Band will render, tho final concert before their departure for the Wanganul contest, thus enabling patrons to hoar tho famous selections "Moorside Suite" aiid "Lorenzo," specially selected for the contest. Both-these pieces were played In England and won by th. famous Black Dyke and Foden's Motor Works Bands. Messrs. Kay and Goodall, both championship winners at Christchurch, will render tho "Birds in the Forest." Mrs. Wilfred Andrews, Miss Mary Coolcy, Mr. William Haydock, all these artists being well known to Wellington audiences, will assist. The contest march VShumadlnska" will also lie played. Mr. J. Haydock will offlclato (.t the piano. Given a fine night tho public are assured of a musical treat. To-morrow afternoon, commencing at 3 o'clock, tho Tramways Band will give a quickstep display in tho Basin Reserve. They will also be malting their first appearance in new uniform.
