SYDNEY, This Day. Hugo losses of stock are expected in the Garruudah district, near Goulburn, where a bushfire is travelling speedily with a terrifying roar through a wide expanse of grassland, burning crops, barns, and fences. Hundreds of men are striving to hold the fire on a twelvomilo front. Enormous dauiago has been done, one owner losing £600 worth of fencing.

Many sheep wero burnt to death at Bathurst. One mob of several hundreds was overwhelmed by flames whilo an attempt was being maclo to rescue them.

Fires aro also reported from the Lithgovv, Cessnock, Coolah, Katoomba, and Carcoar districts.
