VISIT FROM MARLBOROUGH CENTRE

A team of eight rinks of bowlers from the Marlborough Centre is paying a visit to Wellington. This morning the team played rinks from tho various local clubs on tho Wellington Club's lower green, and a second game will be played this afternoon on the samo green. The green played very fast and true. Mr.' Marcus Marks, as president of tho Wellington Centre, cordially welcomed the visitors. Tho Wellington players had very happy recollections of their visit to Picton and Blenheim last season. Mr. S. M. Stone (president, Dominion of New Zealand Bowling Association), in also warmly welcoming the visitors, said that such interchange of visits were productive of much good. Mr. D. Haswcll (president, Marlborough Centre) said that his centre was exceedingly pleased that such a large number ot" Wellington bowlers (ton rinks) had visited Picton and Blenheim, last season. y To-morrow four Marlborough rinks will play at tho Hutt Club's green in the morning, and at Newtown in tho afternoon. Two Marlborough rinks wilL also play at Thorndon, and two rinks at Karori, in tho morning. In th ) afternoon four rinks of visitors will play at Karori.
