The Afghan Consulato at Bombay states that King Amanullah has reassumed the Government at the request of the people of Kandahar, Farah, Herat, Mazarsharifi, Momana, and Kata'gau, with Kandahar as the capital. The Hazaras, Mohmauds, and other influential tribes in Southern Afghanistan have assured him support.
The usurper Baceha is reported to bo short of funds and extorting money from the Kabul merchants. It is believed that he will be deposed in a few days.
Amaiiullah has purchased German motor transport in Peshawar for au advance to Kabul. The Government of India lias refused to grant passports to frontier Moslems who wished to send a medical mission to Kandahar to help Amanullah.
