It was officially learned to-day that the Sydney and Suburban Timber Merchants' Association intends to enforce the new award, as is being done in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Hobart. The timber merchants have issued an ultimatum that all employees who fail to begin work at 7.30 on Thursday morning will bo automatically dismissed.
