SYNOPSIS OF'LAST 24 HOURS. \ A slight low pressure wave has moved over the South Island sinco yesterday, and northerly to westerly winds have prevailed, strong and squally at times in and southward of Cook Strait. Unsettled conditions have been experienced in western districts south of New Plymouth, with rain in Westland, Otago, and in the high central country of the South Island. Over most of the North Island and on the east coast of the South Island the weather has continued to be warm and fair.
