SERIOUS CHARGE
TWO YOUTHS ARRESTED

AUCKLAND, This Day,
Arrested yesterday, AVilliam Gibson (17), a motor mechanic, and Roy Gordon Capel (17), a motor mechanic, were each charged at the Police Court today with committing rape on a girl of 17.
. Detective-Sergeant Kelly asked that both youths should bo remanded till Ctli February. Ho said: "Tho police object to bail being allowed these youths. At the time of their arrest they were on bail awaiting trial at the Supreme Court on a charge of breaking and entering. This is one of the most diabolical acts ever committed in Auckland."
The accused were remanded in custody, with tho direction that they arc to bo kept apart from other prisoners in the gaol.
