SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Lively interest is being displayed in the National Swimming Championships, which will be commenced on Saturday afternoon at the Te Aro Baths. The entries received constitute a. record, including all the title-holders, and the racing nnd diving promise to be distinctly high-grade. Seven championship events will be disposed, of on the opening day, all of which willba productive of star performances, especially with swimmers of the calibre of Dow* sett, Cameron, Lindsay, Stokes, Claridge,I'arrcll, Etvrifdit, Moorhonse the Misses Stockley, Miller, Grant, and Magee, and several others engaged.
