It is at present Johnny Leckie's intention .to go to Australia after his fight with Matt liatton in Auckland on 25th February, but lie may have dallied too long, for the manager of the Sydney Stadium, has written to Mi 1. Jack Kilmartin, the Dunedin referee, stating that i£ Leckie does not make up his mind immediately it will be impossible to offer him matches with importations, as they will all have departed. Leckie might be wise to consider the possibility o£ immediately making for Australia and getting in while the money is offering.
So far as Tommy Griffiths is concerned, he may have lost his opportunity. He had a chance of a fight with Fidel la Barba, but commenced to bargain over the terms, and may not now obtain k a contest at all.
