HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

Another large audience greeted the opening of the eleventh week of the season of the "League of Notions" Revue Company at His Majesty's Theatre last night. 'After so lone _ a season in the one town It would bo natural to expect the company to' fall back on some of the gags and sketchcs'Nsvhlch have been done here before. Such was not the case last night at any rate, and the programme presented was characterised by its .freshness and jpimtaucily.Syd, Beck, whose expressions alone caused tuo house to go into roars of laughter, scored time and time again in. many humorous sketches, while, his rendering of tho parody on Jhc Green Eye of-the Little Yellow God" brought tho house down. The fun was fast and furious in the sketch entitled "The Rehrarsa . which,-as Its title signifies, was an allegedly impromptu rehearsal in which the principal comedian persistently refused to take the right cuo and In numerous other ways gavo. the show away." The usual undcniablo recalls were given Mlko Connors and Quccnic l'aul, whoso singing of popular songs as ducts secm3 to increase in popularity every week. Their first number last night was Without You Sweetheart," and then In response to the .iudienco'3 persistent demands they gave "Oh, Johnnie Callaghan," "That's My Weakness Now," and "On a Dewy Day." .Seeing Miss Audrey Lewis for the second, time only serves to heighten the .impression that she is, a very attractive and versatile artist, whoso singing, dancing, and acting are of a very high standard. All her eirorts last night were well received. A sccna entitled "Ballroom Dancing in Grandmother's Day and Now" allowed tho company to give a hasty idea of various dances which ranged from tho minuet to tho Charleston and the black bottom. Once again the patter 'and dance act of the Paulastro brothers proved all too short for the audience, and William Beresford met with merited applause for his singing of "My Ships" and "Every Minute, Every Hour." The frocking of tho ballet was also a feature of a . thoroughly enjoyable show.
