Mr. T. B. M'Neil, S.M., dealt with offenders against the by-laws iv the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon.
A fme of £10 was imposed oil Clarence Moore for having no heavy trafiiu license, and on each of two similar charges he was ordered to pay costs, 10s. He was also ordered to pay costs, 10s, on each of three charges of having no hive license. For cutting a corner, George Baker was fined 10s. Allowing stock to wander cost Matthew Butler £5; Mary Disley £2; and J. J. Curtis and Co., £1. For not having their vehicles properly lighted, Robert J. Hayes, Edward Hindmarsh, Trevor A. Jarvie, and Hubert Powell were fined £1 10a each, and Raymond Duthie £1. Kenneth Gandy wan fined £4 for negligent driving and Albert Mitchell £1. Bliaina Gosai, for exposing foodstuffs to possible contamination, was fined £8 10s, and on each of two other charges he was ordered to pay costs, 10s. For similar offences a line of £4 each was imposed on N. Gobin, U. Mora, Chhibii Patel, and Arthur. Shaw. For having no heavy trafhc license, Matthew Love was fined £1 lO.s. On charges of dangerous driving, Herbert 'Palmer was fined £3; Ella Read, 10s; and Vincent E. Reeve £8. Passing a stationary tvafn-ear cost William Reille £2. For having no drivers' license, he was similarly dealt with.
Leonard B. Southward was fined £1 for- obstructing an entrance. A fine of £1 was imposed on Richard H. Stephens for leaving a motor-car more than 12in from a kerb. Failure to keep to the left cost Frank Williams £1 10s, and for having no driver's license he was ordered to pay costs, 10s. Frank Preston, for having no driver s license, was fined £4.
