"THE MIDNIGHT FROLICS."

The pot-pourri of sketches, dances, songs, and quips, which makes up the-show being put on at the Grand Opera House by the J. C. Williamson "Midnight Frolics" Company, was greatly enjoyed by another large "house" last night. When an audience unrestrainedly gives \ent to its feelings not only in general applause but also. by spontaneous laughter, no further assurance is necessary that the show

"goes." It seems to be generally acknowledged that Hie "Frolics" are an even batter company than that which appeared here previously. The comedy element is reliably placed ill the hands of Clem Dawe, the original Australian comedian, who is virtually the centre nf tliu entertainment. The company Is n strom; one, and the programme is of a consistently hljili standard throughout. Gregory IvanolV delights with his violin solos, and the vocal numbers of Miss Lillian Crisp make a general appeal. Variety is added to the pro•gramme by the dancing of tho Dorothy and' Dick Trio, and Miss Phyllis Amery's interpretations of music on the light fantastic toe arc much enjoyed. Features of the oveninp: are the sketches,ln whirl) Clem Dawo bus a. prominent place. Other contributors to a .generous programme are Miss Gertie Crcincr, Miss Cathie Stevens, Mr. William Perryman, Mr. Oscar Beclc, Mr. Eric JMgcley, Mr. John liohcrtson, etc. The "Frolics" aro appearing nightly.
