FIRES SWEEPING VICTORIA Australian Press Association. MELBOURNE, 11th January. Devastating bush fires arc now sweeping tho major portion of Victoria. Tremendous 'damage has been done to fences, grass', and property in Gippsland.' Narrow escapes from death have been experienced by mail drivers, stockmon, and bush settlers.
