DEAR ONES
When the. night closes down over the sea and hushes the small bush voices it's a curious,.cosy comfort to climb up into the circle of light that the whare lamp throws on the big table and join in the family fun. Then it's beg-o'-m'-neighbour or dominoes or good old snakes-and-ladders. But best of all the evening things is painting .. . the clean saucer, the clear water, the new box of colours, and something truly jolly to paint. '■Here's-a lovable larrikin lad who's country born and country bred. And it's easy to sec he knows the elfin folk better than we city ones can ever hope to. Make a picture of him ... barefooted and happy at the bend o' the road . . .and hang him over your bunk till it's time for home again. .
