CAMP AT MOUNT BRUCE
The- second .annual, camp of the Masterton Girl Guides'is at: present being held on Mr. A. E. Deader 's property, Mount Bruce, where some 70 girls from: Master ton" and Wellington are' under canvas. The site of the camp is ideal* situated as it is on the banks of the JGuaniahanga River and flanked ;by a''barrier of tree and fern-clad hills which afford ■natural shelter, -; ;; ; ; ', :,.'.:
On Tluusday night a numbei of paieuts and ±uends>, and othcis, including the Mayor, JVlr. T, > Joiflan, and tho Mayoioss, Mis. Joidan, who is Distnct Commissionei, were shown ovoi the camp and its sunoundings by tho delighted and obviously pioud young Guides. On«f and* nil* were impressed with the excellence) of tho general out lay of tho jsamp and the cleanliness and oifloiliness'of tho tents' The openan kitchen and 'its 1 appointments is a modol m anangement. Eveiything is being conducted under tho inobt satisfaetoiy conditional.
