DOMINION TOURNEY
CHAMPIONSHIP RINKS YESTERDAY'S PLAY Play was continued throughout yesterday .in" the Dominion bowling championship, and the fourth round finished. It was a most unpleasant day for the players, as a strong north-west wind was blowing. A light misty rain foil : in the afternoon for a short while. The only consolation the "competitors had j was that the conditions favoured no I one at the expense of the other. Owing to the heavy wind disturbing many bowls during their course, there were some remarkable variations in the score. . A case in points is -that of Pridtilc (Newtown), who, although leading by 20 points at one stage of the game, wont down to Shepherd (Hataitai) by one point in the final end. At the conclusion of play yesterday there were ten competitors with four wins each:- —King (Hastings), Lowry (Kelburn), Bell (Hamilton), Hosking (Carlton), Bartlett (Nelson), Doherty (Kelburn), Walker (Auckland), Harrison (V.B. A.), Noble-Adams (Blenheim), and Hueston (Gisborne). In sections A, B, D, E, no one has had four ■wins. • .
