WELLINGTON WOOL

THIRD SALE TO-MORROW

The third Wellington sale of the season begins at the Town Hall to-morrow. The aggregate catalogue is limited to 27.0UU bales. Buyers have been valuing in local stores for the past few days. A good market is expected, and prices realised at last sale should bo equalled to-morrow— perhaps be a shade better. Russia will operate in the person of M. Kngels. Wool has been bought in Wellington on Russian account again and again, but when M. Engels takes his seat on the benches to-morrow it is believed that it will 'mark the 'first time that a Kussian directly buying for Russia has done so. ' ■ ■ ■ ■ The catalogues to be offered arc believed to consist of good average wools, the condition being only slightly-, heavier in grease by reason of the continued dull weather. Generally the, wool has been wellgot up, and will include dips from Marlborough and Nelson, as well, as the product-of the Wellington-area. The New Zealand Loan'^nd Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London office, under date 9th January :—"Wool Sales: Wopl sales lists closed' 7th. January. Port * Fremantle, Westmoreland, lonic, Kuahine, Port Darwin, Rimutaka, Mataroa available."
