Tho following forecast was Issued at 0 a.m. to-day for the'ensuing 24 hours:-— Winds—Moderate to strong winds between north-west and south-west, Tccriiis generally to northerly shortly and freshening to Bale force in many places. Barometer —Falling everywhere shortly. Seas—Rough south of Cape Egmont and m Cook and Fovcaus Straits; moderate elsewhere. Tides—Good south of New Plymouth; moderate elsewhere. Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at all warning stations. Weather—Some scattered showers in western and southern districts at first, but otherwise mainly fair; later becoming unsettled generally with some rain. Milder temperatures tomorrow. _____ ■ '
