LIBEL CLAIM SETTLED
United Tress Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. (.Received 20th October, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A £10,000 libel claim by Ezra Norton, chairman of "Truth and Sportsman, Limited," against Beckett's Newspapers, Limited, was settled today out of Court. The libel was contained iv open letters in February ana March reflecting on Norton's character. The defendant: newspaper withdrew all accusations, publicly . apologised, and paid, the costs.
