"The Luck of the Navy," which has proved so popular with theatre-goers, will be staged at the Grand Opera Ilouse to-night for the last time. On Monday and Tuesday nights the sensational mystery drama ■ "The Joker" will be staged for the first time in the Dominion, and as this thriller has taken London by storm, and is still running, a realistic stage presentation of this gripping play should be the means of attracting large audiences. There are said to be .many exciting incidents in this drama of the secret service, with mystery and romance skilfully interwoven so that the interest of the audience is held to the last curtain. Mr. Percy Hutchison, who has given some very enjoyable character presentations during the season, will as usual take the leading r.ole —that of a member of the secret service, who is called upon to undertake a most dangerous mission. Tho cast will includo Misses Stella Francis, Francis Dillon, Mary Bracklcy, Messrs. Townscnd Whltling, E. Hayson-Cousens, R. Steuart West, Dorothy Stanward, Joau Rogers, Victor Watts-Weston, Violet Ley, Leslie Laurier, etc. In addition to "The Joker" will be presented for the flrst time in Wellington "Tho Peacemaker," described as "a comcily full of screamingly funny situations,1" ia which Miss Frances Dillon will be seen in the role for which she has gained high praise.
