HON. R. A. WRIGHT AT BROOKLYN

The Hon. 11. A. Wright addressed a meeting of friends and supporters at Waldie's Hall, Brooklyn, last evening. 'There was an excellent attendance, the hall being full. Mr. M. Thcw was voted to the chair, and briefly introduced the candidate. Mr. Wright reminded the electors that the supplementary roll would close next Friday, after which date no additional names could be added to the roll, lie also explained the new system of postal voting, which enabled people I who were leaving New Zealand to vote by post. That might be the case, but he was not taking risks, and would work as hard as possible to win.

He hoped his friends would do likewise. After dealing with political matters at some length, a hearty vote of thanks and confidence in tho candidate was carried by acclamation. A strong committeo was formed to,work the district, Mr. J. H. Whittaker being appointed' chairman, and Mr. J. Crabtree secretary.
