LORD LOVAT
SLIGHTLY INDISPOSED ENGAGEMENTS CANCELLED Lord Lovat, the British Minister ia Charge of Overseas Settlement, arrived, in Wellington by the New Plymouth express yesterday evening, and was met at the railway station by the Prime Minister, Eight Hon. J. G. Coates. Unfortunately, Lord,Lovat is indisposed, though not seriously, the trouble being the recurrence of a minor complaint. Acting under medical advice, he has decided to cancel his "immediate future engagements, to to take a week's complete rest before going to Australia. This will mean the cancellation of the projected South Island tour, but Mr. F. Skcvington, C.8.8., of the /British Treasury Office, who has been accompanying Lord Lovat, will visit Christchurch and Dunedin as previously arranged in order Jo discuss immigration matters. Mr. Skevington will also keep, the Wellington engagements, and met this morning in the Dominion Farmers ' Institute representatives of fortysix societies who had interviewed Mr. Amery when he was in New Zealand on the subject of immigration.
