WELLINGTON HOMING PIGEON SOCIETY.
' Owing to adverse weather conditions, no birds were timed in on day of liberation iv the society's race from Frankton Junction. In the race from Lyttelton (189 ! miles), 19 lofts were represented by 140 birds, and although • the weather appeared to bo anything but favourable, good returns on the day are reported. The winning bird, Mr. George Wilson's blue chequer hen, won the previous week in the race from Culverden.
