MEDiCAL APPOINTMENT
(From "The Post's Representative.) ■ LONDON, 7th September. Dr. Gilbert Alarshall, M.8,, B.Ch., 8.A.0., D.Plu, who has receivod appointment under tho Now Zealand Mental Department, will leave by the JKomucra on 23rd November. Ho is the son of Dr. Gilbert Mai-shall, of Market Hill. Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland. He was educated at Duuganuou Koyal School, Stevens's Hospital, and Trinity College, Dublin, graduating there in 1917. During the war Dr. Marshall obtained a commission in the Ii.A.M.C, and served with tho British Salonika Force as officer in charge, 9th X-Kay Unit, attached to 28th Casualty Clearing Station. On demobilisation in 1919 he took out a post-graduate course and Diploma in Public Health, and was assistant medical officer of tho Market Hill dispensary district until January, 1920, when lie was appointed assistant resident medical superintendent of Londonderry City and County Asylum, and was placed- in charge of the branch asylum at Gransha, Co. Londonderry, which position he vacated on receiving appointment to New Zealand. Dr. Marshall also holds a commission in the Eoyal Army Medical Corps. .Supplementary Reserve of pfficers. ■
