SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Except for a few Isolated showers, more especially on the East Coast, the weather has been mainly fair. Cool temperatures prevailed during Monday, and some frosts have been reported at inland places, but milder conditions were in evidence this morning, moderate southerly winds having given place to more variable directions. A moderate .anticyclone has moved on to the Dominion, and pressure now shows a falling tendency in the southern districts.
