TEN PER CENT. DIVIDEND (By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening, Post.") DNEDIN, This Day. ■ The forty-fourth. annual report' of the Drapery aud General Importing Company states that the1 net profits for the year were £42,727.16s lid, which with £35,981 9s 5d brought forward from the previous year show a total to the credit of the profit and loss account of £78,709 6s 4d. In May an interim dividend was paid on the preference shares at the rate of 0 per cent, per annum for the half-year ended February. This absorbed £7500, and leaves £71,209 6s 4d now available for division this term. The directors propose to deal with this as follows: —Payment of a dividend at the rate of 6 .per cent, on preference shares for the half-year ended 20th August, £7500; payment of a dividend at the rate of 10 per cent, on ordinary shares, £17,851 15s Sd, making an addition of £4937 5s to the reserve fund, which will now stand at £70,000, and the balance to be carried forward, being £40,----920 5s Bd.
