EASTBOURNE FERRY SERVICE.
For to-morrow afternoon the Eastbourne I Ferry management draws attention to v special attraction and amusement for those I crossing the harbour by ferry steamer. The Charleston Jazz Band, undei the- j leadership of Mr Wilson, which is now ap pearing at His Majesty's Theatre, will play selections on the T.S.S. Muritai or. j the journey to the east harbour suburb at ! 2.30 p.m. On arrival at Day's Bay the band will play a specially prepared pro- ■ gramme at the pavilion, commencing at | 3.15 p.m., during which a collection /ill be taken on behalf of the Wellington City Ambulance. The ferry management further asks that those considering the question of picnics and excursions during the coming summer months will first of all obtain particulars of the special conces sions which aro granted to all schools, businesses, Government departments, md public and private parties.
