Mr. C. lfurgcss has been appointed chief officer of the Waiotapu; relieving Mr., E.- A. Stein, who wiU await orders at Wellington. Mr. T. P. Evans.has Joined the Kalwarra as second officer, relieving Mr. G. H. Klme, who has come ashore for instfuctlons. Captain W. H. D. Gardner has been appointed to command of the Balls Head temporarily, relieving Captain -,G. D. Fraser for holidays. Captain E. R. Lowe, late of the. Cortnna, has transferred to tho command of the Kalmat, relieving Captain F. J. G. Warren for holidays.
