THE SILOOROME.
Very few residents in New Zealand arc conversant with a silo, and probably have never seen one. In America, Canada, and Now South Wales they aro used for storing grain, and are gigantic structures, ranging from 18ft high and 30ft diameter; others are larger.' the size depending on tho capacity of wheat grown in different centres. Reckless Jackson claims to be tho first to ride a motor-cycle upon an absolutely perpendicular wall. . Ho made a small track insido his father's wheat silo, took his Indian motor-cycle, and started to rido around tho bottom of, tho temporary track. Ho increased Ills speed, and in a short time was riding upon the wall of (he silo. For the first time in tho Dominion this huge apparatus has been constructed for the reckless and daring motorist, who will be seen at tho Wellington Show.
