HOME FOR AGED NEEDY
The regular monthly meeting of trustees of the Home for .the Aged Needy was held at the home yesterday afternoon, Mr. George Pethericlt presiding. There were also present Mesdames Hirst and Osborne, Messrs. V. J. Evans, W. .T. Helyer, J. Brown, H. W. Kersley, and F. Meadowcroft. Owing to ill-health, Mrs. H. B. Chapman tendered her resignation as a member of the trust. In moving the acceptance the chairman referred to the excellent service Mrs. Chapman had rendered during the years she had been ;a member of the trust. A suitable letter is to be sent... The secretary, Mr. G. Judcl, reported the receipt of a legacy of £ 100 from the late Mrs. Charlotte Shaw, of Levin, also an electric radiator from an anonymous donor. Both are much .appreciated. Four vacancies in the home were filled by ballot. The matron, Miss Mackay. reported that the imnatcs were enjoying good health despite the advanced ages of most of them. The renovations of the buildings are almost completed, and marked improvements arc the result.
