A GOOD IDEA
It is not always easy to make the tall, slender candles that are made in such exquisite colours stand upright in the shallow candlesticks which suit them so well, or, indeed, in any candlesticks when the place where the candle end goes is wider than the candle, says an exchange. A small piece of plasticine, slightly warmed before it is put into the candlestick, will persuade Ihc candle to behave perfectly if the caudle is pressed on to it. 'firmly while it is still warm.
