EVACUATION QUESTION
DISCUSSION AT GENEVA BRIAND GOING TO PARIS British Official Wireless. (Received 14th September, 11 a.m.) RUGBY,' 13th September. A meeting of the representatives of Great Britain, France,. Italy, Belgium, Germany, and Japan, which was held this morning in Lord Cushendun's apartments at the Hotel Beau Rivage, Geneva, to discuss the Rhineland evacuation question, occupied two and a half hours. Afterwards Lord Cushendun's secretary informed Press representatives that all aspects of the question had been fully examined and would be further considered next Sunday. M. Briaud, the French Foreign Minis* ter, is leaving for Paris to-day to attend a Ciibiuet meeting, but will beback iv Geneva on Saturday. | It is hoped that a basis for discussion may bo found during the week-end that will enable negotiations to be continued through diplomatic channels ia | the coming weeks.
