WIDEN THE WICKET
CRICKET SCORES TOO BIG Australian Press Association. LONDON, 12th September. The Yorkshire County Cricket Committee meeting at Leeds adopted a resolution stating that it was dissatisfied with the big scores during the present season, and favoured widening the wicket by an inch by increasing the diameter of the stumps, addingthat it was prepared to experiment with any proposal made by Marylebone.
