REGENT THEATRE.
Tho bookings for "Wings," which commences its season to-night at the Regent, are a record for the theatre. This afternoon tho matinee was packed and tho greatest enthusiasm prevailed during tho screenings of this tamous picture. Tho synchronisation of tho picture is made possible my special sound effects which operate electrically. For each 'piano thcro is a different droning effect in perfect tempo to tno action of the picture. When a 'plane is seen to crash and fall, the sound of tho crash, us well as the whining of tho wires and struts through tlie air is reproduced with realism to the amazement of tho audience. Especially thrilling is the staccato rat-rat-rat of '»« ""'; dime gun duels as the weapons spit forth their rapid tire through the spaces of tlie wlllrlnlt propellers. "Wings" will bo screened twite dully until further notli-c.
