HUTT PARK COMMITTEE
The quarterly meeting of the Hutt Park Copimittee was held last night. There were present Messrs. A. J. Hobbs (chairman),. J. Ashby, W. G-. MeldrunV D. M'Carthy, J. W. Longman, and the'secretary (Mr. W. F. Sturman). A letter froni the Lower Hutt Civic Association congratulating the committee on the arrangements made with the Trotting Club was received. The request of the Moera Community Sports League for an extension of the proposed lease of the new ground from two to ten years was refused. The caretaker's report slatec! that siuce the last meeting of the committee the main pillars in the grandstand building had been attended.to, concrete piles now replacing the decayed wooden' ones.
