THE ASSOCIATED CLUBS

A Dominion conference of the Associated Clubs of New Zealand was held at the Accountants Society's Booms this morning, when delegates representing tho Chartered Clubs from all parts of New Zealand assembled under the chairmanship of the Dominion prcsidont, Mr. L. O. H. Tripp. Tho chairman explained the provisions of the Licensing Bill as affecting club members, and the following resolutions were carried:— (1) That this conference of tho Associated Clubs of New Zealand enters a strong protest against the removal of tho middle issue from the Licensing ballot paper as embodied in the Bill now before Parliament, and can see no ! justification for depriving of their full franchise that large body of electors
