TO-DAY'S PROCEEDINGS

LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL The Legislative Council met at 2.33 p.m. to-day. The Statutory Land Charges Eegistration Bill was put through its final stages and passed with tho amendments made by the Statutes Revision Committee. The Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Bill was received from the House of Representatives, read the first time and the second time pro forma, and referred to the Statutes Revision Committee. The Auctioneers' Bill was received from the House of Representatives, read tho first time and tho second time pro forma, and referred to the Stock Committee. Tho Johnsonville and Makara Gas Supply Bill was read the second time without discussion. The Hutt River Board Empowering Bill was read the second time. The Council adjourned at 3.8 p.m. until to-morrow.
