Tlio following forecast was Issued at 9 a.m. to-day tor the ensuing 24 hours•Winds —Moderate south-westerly winds north of Kawhia aud East Cape, but freshening northerlies gradually becoming general and reaching gale force in many places. llarometer —Falling. Seas—Kough south of Cape Egraont and offshoro south of Castlepoint; moderate elsewhere. Tides—Moderate north of Castlepoint; good elsewhere. Warning Signals for northerly gales aro exhibited at Casllepoiut, Cape Campbell, Stephen's Island, Farewell Spit, and The Nuggets. Weather—Fair to fine at first, but rapidly beromluß unsettled in western districts of the Smith Island, and later more generally, with some rain. Mild temperatures.
