There was a large attendance of honourable gentlemen from both Houses of Parliament in the Assembly Room. to witness a test of the powers given by Argus, the Boy Prophet. Amongst those present wore the Speakers of both Houses, Sir Charles Statham and Sir Walter Carncross, and many Knightly and other distinguished gentlemen, Siv Joseph Ward, Sir James Allen, the Leader of the Opposition, and others. Question after question was put by out Legislators, but in no case did Argus fail them. Personal questions were asked and correctly answered, watchea were described and their numbers given. Banknotes, cheques, coins, trinkets were submitted, and without seeing them Argus described them, and even gave the names of those who presented them to the present owners. One young lady produced a bracelet, and without hesitation Argus said it had been presented to her by tho Labour Party. At the end of the test the Honourable George Witty moved a vote of thanks to Argus and his father, which was carried most enthusiastically. Most of tho members flocked round Argus, and one gentleman insisted on Argus signing his autograph on a page opposite that bearing the Prince of Wales's Bignature. After tho test many members shook hands with him, and congratulated him on his successful and convincing, tests. (Published by Arrangement.,} „,
