(4) That this conference of the Associated Clubs of Now Zealand respectfully points out to the Prime Minister that tho provision of Clause 37 of tho Bill does not meet the requirements of the clubs ill regard to their social evenings, and would urge that this be amended along tho lines of tho report of the Special Parliamentary Licensing Committee of 1924. That this conference of tho Associated Clubs of New Zealand strongly resents the intrusion of the New Zealand Allianco into matters affecting tho private affairs of our established institutions and calls attention to tho fact that the opposition to the moderate provisions of: clause 37 a saffecting tho .social life of clubs is an act of absolute intolerance.
