DEATHS IN HOSPITAL
ONE MAN UNIDENTIFIEI A few minutes after 6 o'clock las> evening a waterside worker, James .; Cowie, aged 63, who resided at No. oa, St. Mary.-.; street, was run over by a taxi-cab. in Courfcenay place. He !• was attended to by the City Ambulance '>- and taken to the Hospital, but he died at half-past seven from the internalinjuries he received. He was a widower. Shortly after half-past three yester* day afternoon the poUee were summon* ed to Lambton Station, where a mart was found in an unconscious condition on one of the seats, with a bottle of lyeol beside him. The City Ambulance was called, and the man was taken to the Public Hospital, but he died a feW • minutes after he was admitted. ■. The police are uncertain as to" the identity; ft of the man, but a bank book in his • possession, issued at Wellington, bore the name of William Stewart. He was about 55 years of age, of strong build, about five feet ten inches in height, with fair complexion and hair, and blue. eyes. He was wearing a navy blue suit with a grey hat, and black shoes.
