SOME SERIOUS INJURIES
A collision occurred a. i'ovv minutes beforo 5 o'clock yctserday afternoon between a motor-lorry owned by Messrs. Hunt, Cottrell, and Company, and onu owned by Frozen Products, Ltd., at tho corner of Nelson and Udy streets, Petone. Tho two occupants of the Frozen Products lorry were both injured—Cyril Byles, who resides at No. 22, Cockburn street, having a dislocated shoulder and injuries to his groin, and Eobert Johnstone, who resides at No. 2, "Ventnor street, receiving a punctured wound to his forehead, concussion, and shock. The City Ambulanco attended to both men, and took them to the Hospital. A fracture of his left thigh was suffered by a schoolboy named Malcolm Pearce, who resides with his parents at tho Central Hotel, Lower Hutt, while he was playing football yesterday afternoon. He was attended to by the City Ambulance, and taken to the Hospital. As the result of falling down a drain at Mailing last evening, B. H. Flood, j painter, had his right leg broken. The City Ambulance took him to tho Hoa-1 Pitul. . TOC P. H. Bourko, who resides at No. Ob, Simla crescent, Khandailah,, had his left leg broken yesterday afternoon in a slight motor mishap. Ho was attended to by the City Ambulance, and taken to a private hospital.
