BILLIARDS' CHAMPIONSHIP.
Owing to C. E. Peck (Feilding) being unablo to attend, there was only one match in the Wellington amateur billiards championship last evening. B. Savage (Wellington Working Men's Club) won by default), and Duncan (Returned Soldiers) defeated Hendricksen (G.P.O. Pastimes) by 300 to 229. The best breaks were: 33 (twice) and 30 by Duncan, and 28 and 26 by Hendricksen. To-night Elliot (Commercial Travellers) meets Hayvice (Jewish Club) and Hamilton (Returned Soldiers) meets Devino (Petone W.M.C.) .
